The wonderfully eclectic and culturally vibrant Konark Dance Festival is a dance festival held every year in December in Konark in the lovely state of Odisha. The festival will take place from 1st December to 5th December 2016 in the beautiful backdrop of the Sun Temple in Konark. The various elegant and rich Indian classical dance styles and traditions are celebrated here including those of Odissi, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Manipuri and Mohiniattam. Apart from these classical dance styles, even folk dances and tribal dances are also showcased during this exciting festival.

Dancers of great repute in their respective dance styles from all over the country converge here to make the Konark Dance Festival a superb platform to showcase the rich Indian dance traditions. It is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to also bask in the architectural glory of the majestic Sun Temple itself. During the festival, an excellent mela is also organised alongside which is used very ably to highlight different cuisines and handicrafts making it an even richer experience for the entire family.
