Two States by Kanika is a delightfully unique restaurant which successfully presents the authentic local flavours of the exciting and rich cuisines of the two neighbouring states of Odisha and West Bengal. Located in the spellbinding seaside resort MAYFAIR Heritage right on Puri Beach, Two States by Kanika is widely considered as being one of the finest restaurants in Puri both in terms of ambiance and the taste and quality of the dishes being churned out by its kitchen. A rustic décor runs through the length of the restaurant with traditional motifs being used and even brass utensils are used.

The skilfully crafted Odia and Bengali dishes includes some amazing fresh seafood with classics like Sorshe Ilish (Fresh Hilsa cooked in a wonderfully light mustard gravy) making an appearance. The prawn dishes are especially well executed with the rich succulent taste of the prawn very well complemented by the use of fragrant spices. The Odia and Bengali Thalis are a meal in themselves and quite lavish giving you the opportunity to sample several superb dishes at one go. For dessert one cannot go wrong with either the popular Odia caramelised baked cheese dessert Chhena Poda or the iconic Rosogolla.
